The International Qlik Developer's Group

Eat. Sleep. Qlik. Repeat.

Welcome to the Education Page

The Qlik Dev Group is committed to bringing Qlik Developers from around the world the very best information to assist in their Qlik development lives. As part of this, we will start hosting educational days on various specific subjects. These sessions will serve to impart more detailed information on the chosen subject in a more formal environment than the evening events.

Our educational sessions are not to line our pockets; any limited profits made will be ploughed back into our free events here and around the world. - From QlikView to SlickView

LONDON: Thursday, 23 March 2017, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM - Just £200 for the whole day!

A day with Nick Webster and Peter Webb from teaching you how to migrate a QlikView application to Qlik Sense and highlight the differences between the two. But that’s just the start! From those humble beginnings, Nick will then teach you how to build on that Sense application using easy to follow steps. Using the Bootstrap CSS framework, the Qlik Capability APIs and some JavaScript, Nick will walk you through building your first Web App powered by Qlik Sense.

This session is a unique opportunity to spend a day with, to ask questions and learn practical skills which you can then use in the real world. Nick has given jaw-dropping presentations to the Qlik Dev Group on several occasions before, and as one of Qlik’s primary web and API guys, was largely responsible for building Branch and Playground before leaving to enter the world of public training. Websy are perfectly qualified to enlighten us as to the power of the APIs and how to use Enigma.js and the other frameworks to leverage the available flexibility. See for more information.

This will be a very “hands-on” day. You will need to bring a laptop with you with Qlik Sense desktop 3.1 installed and running. You will be provided with a QVW file which you will convert to a QVF and expand into a functioning web application sucking in external objects. You can then takea way all that lovely code to expand upon, plus guidance on where to go next to keep learning!
